·         Develops and maintains manufacturing operations and supply chain business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and yields.

·         Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products.

·         Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.

·         Provides guidance to the development of a manufacturing process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.

·         Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.

·         Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

·         Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

·         Responsible for the manufacturing and assembly operations at any of our facilities worldwide. Responsible for driving production efficiencies while maintaining the highest standards of product quality across all manufacturing and assembly operations.

·         Ensures that sufficient finished goods and components are available to meet customer commitments.

·         Manages the Operations Department team consisting manufacturing, assembly, and supply chain with approximately 30 – 50 engineers, technicians, and assemblers in multiple locations. Responsible for the selection and hiring of new staff members. Conducts annual performance appraisals and provides feedback, coaching and direction to subordinates. Administers salaries, merit increases, and career management within company guidelines and budgets. Assures the adherence to company policies within the organization.

 

Requirements

·         Minimum of a bachelor’s level degree in engineering, or similar field with at least 15 years of experience in a management role over the production/manufacturing operations and supply chain operations on a global basis.

·         International experience creating and supervising local facilities for product assembly operations and assessing supplier capabilities, facilities and processes for sourcing components on a global scale.

·         Ability to motivate teams to produce quality products within tight timeframes and manage several projects in multiple locations simultaneously.

·         Proficient using MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

·         High level of competency in mathematical disciplines, statistical analysis, and financial management of complex manufacturing and logistics issues and problems where there are many variables and conditions as well as incomplete information.

·         Travel required (international included)
