VP, Petroleum Engineer
Review and adjust, if necessary, lease-operating expenses for the oil and properties pledges in support of a credit facility. You will apply the bank’s energy price deck and escalations models to the oil and gas properties, and prepare underwriting memos that recommend or decline to recommend the credit facility-borrowing base. Utilizing your petroleum engineering expertise to prepare a financial analysis of findings, including various policy financial ratios using the pro forma engineering cash flows for the collateral properties, you will monitor creditor performance when requested by the relationship manager for tight credit situations.
Pre-requisites:
- Bachelor's degree in petroleum, chemical, geological, geomechanical engineering or related plus 8 years of recent relevant progressive experience in petroleum reservoir engineering
- Five (5) years in current banking evaluation experience
- Experience with petroleum economic evaluation
- Experience with use of petroleum economic software
- Experience applying advanced fluid flow equations relating to the estimation of oil and gas reserves including, but not limited to, decline curve analysis, material balance analysis, type curve analysis, dimensional analysis and the synthesizing of offset production data and its application to new wells
- Experience with analysis of advanced waterflood techniques relating to enhanced oil production including modeling and evaluation of effectiveness of this type of enhanced production in field analysis
- Experience with analysis of coal bed methane gas production and able to analyze existing and future gas production through computer numerical simulation and/or offset analogy
- Experience with analysis of Lease Operating Statements in association with performing petroleum economic analysis
- Experience with analysis of potential new completion and drilling opportunities (Proved Nonproducing, Proved Shut In and Proved Undeveloped locations) that will be utilized as collateral in bank loans
- Experience with assessment of risk of dry holes from formation unconformities, structural or stratigraphic changes, water influx, and geopressured issues
- Experience with analysis and assessment of Shale and similar Resource plays, including experience with horizontal wells and multi-stage hydraulic fracture stimulation techniques
- Experience in analyzing multi-state hydraulic fractures and their effects on reserves evaluation
