VP Prime Brokerage Client Service recruitment

A top tier institution is looking to expand their Prime Brokerage Client Service team. With an established platform and strong focus on the Asia region my client has a unique opportunity to give mobility to your career. The business is looking for high caliber candidates with a strong relationship management/Client service skill set who will be able to enhance and develop the working relationship of my client with a range of their Hedge Fund Clients. The objective of this role will be to deepen this institutions understanding of their client and their needs so that new service/product ideas can be presented to them further deepening the relationship and enhancing its profitability. The successful candidate will therefore be someone with excellent communication skills capable of building rapport/relationships and ideally have a track record of enhancing client relationships in previous roles. The will also be an element to this role of responding to client queries around operational issues also so some level of Operations experience (ideally from within a Hedge Fund) would also be beneficial. This role will report to the Director of the function and will be responsible for taking ownership of a number of existing client relationships many of which will be in the mainland hence the need for a Mandarin speaker.

Job Description for Prime Brokerage Client Service

• Daily Contact with Hedge Funds reviewing and responding to a wide range of activity

• Meet with the clients on regular basis in order to more fully understand their plans and hence business need.

• Utilizing the resources of the business to provide Hedge Fund clients with the full expertise of the firm

• Act as single point of contact for key clients providing them with the highest levels of service

• Endeavour to resolve key clients enquiries on the spot

• Liaise with internal parties to resolve more complex issues

• Overseeing and managing clients through the on-boarding process

Requirements for VP Prime Brokerage Client Service

• 7+ years experience in financial institutions ideally with a focus on client services/relationship management

• Mandarin language skills

• Middle Office/Operations experience in a relevant area a plus

• A strong understanding of and collaborative attitude to other business units within the bank

• Ability to think outside the box and engineer creative solutions to complex problems

• Strong, Inspirational character with ability to motivate within a Client Service environment

• Strong communication skills able to professionally and effectively deal with a wide range of client issues and queries
