VP Private Equity – Secondary Market Investment recruitment
Investing in international Private Equity Funds secondary market (buying and selling) is crucial. MBA / CFA Western Education with total 8-12 years’ experience
The selected candidate will take a lead role in all aspects of the investment process Level of experience: Significant experience in private equity gained from working in a private equity or principal investments firm; suitable candidates should be US or European educated at a bachelors or masters level from a good university and possess an MBA, CFA or similar certification; candidates from business development teams of large industrial groups, investment bankers, strategy consultants and accountants may also be considered.
The VP/SVP should have experience in investing in international PE funds, ideally with experience in the secondary market (buying and selling). The candidates should be familiar with and capable of following best practice in conducting due diligence and analyzing track records of fund managers, as well as evaluating and monitoring fund investments. The candidates should be able to prepare appropriate investment memos to support their recommendations in a formal investment committee process, as well as work with internal and external legal advisors to complete investment transactions.

Ensure that the investments actions taken in this area are in compliance with the strategy and risk management policy
Carries out a continual review of the PE funds held and assists in managing the relationships with the respective fund managers
Identification and assessment of new opportunities
Assessing new investment opportunities arising and establishes the viability of new investments.
Makes recommendations on action to be taken related to potential investments
Experience with direct investments, co-investments would be a plus, as would experience in the MENA region. Arabic language would be a plus (as would other languages like French, German, etc.) but not necessary. The candidate should be able to represent the holding group to the fund managers and the investment community at large, in a polished and professional manner.
