VP Product Control
This role will have responsibility for the Equity Derivatives Desk and the intention is that in a year’s time this individual will become the European Head of Product Control for Equity Derivatives.
- To ensure, on a daily basis, the accurate and timely reporting of market risk exposures and Profit and Loss (PnL) for the Equity Derivatives Business Unit, and ensure that the drivers behind the risk positions and PnL are fully understood and explained.
- Control oversight for individual business line including the enhancement and standardization of controls
- Ownership of escalated exceptions working with trading and Finance to address problems identified in daily process
- Focus on strategic process redesign/improvement, including alignment and integration of upstream processes.
- Support the development of an environment where people management and development is the number one priority. Coach direct reports and others in the organisation, as appropriate.
It is essential that you have the following:
- Strong Product Control experience and you’re currently a Vice President or at that level.
- Extensive exotic product exposure of either Equity, Credit or Interest Rates.
- In-depth knowledge of derivative products from the perspective of Risk and PL understanding and control.
- Proven all round Operational knowledge especially all Front to Back trade flows.
