VP / Program Manager recruitment

Program Manager /Senior Business Analyst will include:

• Lead a team of 2-5 IT BA/PMs
• Program-manage the overall portfolio of major IT initiatives including coordination of status reporting, arranging and chairing governance/prioritization meetings with stakeholders, and generally acting as IT ambassador to business stakeholders.
• Requirements gathering, analysis and specification (BRD and functional specification) of enhancements to existing applications and for development of new systems and functionality. As team lead, candidate’s role in this process will be especially intense during project initiation.
• Engagement with business stakeholders, development, testing teams and other staff to ensure deliveries are understood, scoped appropriately and fit for purpose.
• Robust project management and planning; ensuring projects are well defined, agreed, resourced and executed.
• Transparent reporting of progress and status, early escalation of issues and decisions requiring stakeholder input. 

Required Skills Experience
• Recent experience in either Business Analysis or IT Project Management role
• Expert business knowledge in Equity Finance and Stock Borrow/Loan; experience of the complete trade lifecycle and encompassing all aspects of the business, including transaction processing, inventory management, order management (locate processing), operational activities, regulatory requirements, and analytics. Good understanding of financial accounting systems as relating to inventory management, PL, settlement management, etc. Specific knowledge of industry-standard systems such as LOANET and Global1 a distinct plus.
• Experience with line management and team leadership
• Experience with IT program management
• Working knowledge of SQL and data modeling required to conduct data analysis.
• Proven track record in business analysis, data analysis, and project delivery. Able to gather, challenge and accurately document requirements.
• Excellent, concise communication skills. Can interact credibly and professionally with all levels of business, external clients, and IT staff members.

Candidate with the following will be preferred:
• Strong knowledge in Prime Brokerage a plus.
• Hands-on software development background
• Combined experience as BA/PM
• Specific knowledge of industry-standard systems such as LOANET and Global1
• Knowledge of overall industry trends and client offerings
• Experience with external client interactions and representation
• Capabilities in programming/designing of system prototypes using Excel, SQL, etc. a plus
