Our client is a Tier 1 Investment Bank with a strong pan APAC presence. They have out lined a requirement to strengthen their Asia Pacific Project Execution Group with a VP level Project / Programme manager
This Group provides cross divisional project management expertise for all businesses in the Asia Pacific region. The and works with senior business and functional personnel to deliver a range of product or country expansion business projects, efficiency and regulatory projects.
The successful applicant will act as the project manager to execute projects across business lines and asset classes throughout APAC with a focus on India. The role is to scope, plan and execute projects for the business., being responsible for ensuring clear project / programme status reporting and issue/risk tracking in place.
The incumbent would be expected to:
- Translate the business strategy into executable plans and see these plans through to implementation.
- Direction management for the project team - allocating tasks, monitoring progress, ongoing control/co-ordinate the work of the project team.
- Risk management - identify and manage all programme/project issues and risks.
- Monitoring control - use of resources and funds against the original budget; implement robust change control mechanisms; provide regular and accurate progress reports to stakeholders.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues, transferring skills and expertise as required to ensure delivery against targets and continuing professional and personal development
- To appropriately probe and question requirements, drawing on SMEs as required to ensure alignment of requirement to overall project objectives and good business practice.
- To work with Project Manager and manage the UAT/ E2E testing if required for implementation of any IT changes
To qualify individuals must possess:
- Proven delivery of driving Projects through its lifecycle
- Extensive experience of running small and large projects/programmes in an investment banking context
- Proven track record in working with direct and virtual project teams to drive execution and delivery
- Experience of running cross functional programmes in large scale banking organisation
- Experience of managing projects / programmes in India
- Experience of Right Shoring projects / programmes
- Manage by influence - show gravitas, build solid relationships, demonstrate and proven track record of effectively managing internal and external stakeholders; ability to work globally
- Demonstrate F2B business knowledge - challenge assumptions, leverage past experience
