VP, Project Manager (Data & Regulatory) recruitment
Overview
This Programme is a multi-year Financial Accounting initiative in the APAC region to migrate various FC processes to source fit for purpose data from the Finance Data Warehouse. The program includes determining fit for purpose, addressing data sourcing deficiencies, migration of feeds to local regulatory reporting data marts and deploying tools to automate group disclosure reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management, oversight of the programme
- Ensuring a governance framework is in place and operating for risk, issue and dependency management
- Partnering with Finance IT and various finance team functions to define, plan and execute projects that deliver the adoption of the Finance Data Warehouse as the data source for key FC processes (local regulatory reporting and group consolidation disclosure reporting)
- Providing people and thought leadership to the programme and ensuring that the teams objectives are aligned to the overall objectives of the programme
- Implementation of processes to monitor, track and report project progress to stakeholders
- Communication to key stakeholders on the programme status and issue resolution
- Ensuring the business are prepared for use of new FC processes and appropriately adopt the solutions
Requirements:
- Work experience of 10 years + in either or a combination of the following; the financial services industry, consulting services industry or audit advisory services industry
- Experience working on data and regulatory projects, including data warehouse implementation
- Experience (3 years+) of leading a team and talent management
- Demonstrated capability (5 years+) of managing and executing change in a Financial Services organisation
- Experience of working in or managing change for Financial Accounting or Regulatory Reporting systems and processes
- A Qualified Accountant
- Undergraduate degree in Business or Commerce
Additional Relevant Experience or Capabilities:
- Demonstrated foundation of Business Analysis as it relates to FC processes through Project business analyst roles; and/or
- Experience in a line Financial Accounting role performing Legal Entity Control and/or Regulatory Reporting; and/or
- Experience in providing Financial Services Consulting services to the Finance function
- Experience in implementing reporting solutions that utilise core infrastructure such as data warehouses, calculation and reporting engines in the Financial Services Industry
- Experience of process change management and benefit realisation
- Familiarity with Prince 2 or an equivalent project management methodology, e.g. certification for PMP
