VP Rates, FX and Options (Vanilla and Exotics) Product Control recruitment

Our client is currently looking for outstanding VP level product control (PC) candidates at VP level to join an exciting development within a high profile area. It is a competitive, rewarding and extremely desirable product control function which offers excellent training and learning potential. You will have around 10-14 years experience; ideally having started either in audit, and be at least a 2-3 year VP. You will have an emanating passion around financial products, markets and industries and be able to readily display this in interview.

You will not only full responsibility for the day-to-day PC (PnL control, BS control, FOBO, reporting, reconciliations, MI, ensuring financial control, valuations, helping with new product approvals) around the product class but also have a key role to play and expected input into supporting various projects.

It's a technical role requiring highly numerate and technically astute candidates, with a personality which both suites the focus of the day to day PC as well as the energetic and team playing ability needed for the project. You must be happy to coach, develop and mentor juniors.

They want a subject matter expert in the areas of FX, Rates and Options and you must be able to demonstrate this.

You will sit within a growing team (currently 18), alongside another Snr VP (you will report directly to the SVP) and then 18 analysts/AVPs and one other VP below you. The hiring manager is a hugely knowledgeable PC who wants someone with a desire to develop quickly and learn, but also impact and nurture those below them.

Only profiles which display the following will be considered:

• Top degree from a top institution - quantitative/numerical preferred (engineering, applied science, economics, statistics)

• At least 10 years experience

• A first rate finance qualification - ACA or CA very much preferred. CFA highly desirable

• Complex product exposure around FX, Rates and Options and be able to answer and show evidence of in depth knowledge in this area

• Prior project exposure is beneficial
