Vice President - Investment Acquisitions

A leading real estate focused PE fund is currently seeking an Vice President of Investment Acquisitions, to help lead the fund investment activity in China. This senior appointment will report to the Head of China Real Estate and will be responsible for all acquisition initiatives (both JV development entity level investments) in 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier cities in China.
Responsibilities will include:
• Deal origination and negotiation for JV development and entity level investments;
• Deal execution and structuring of both onshore and offshore investments
• Oversee the investment teams due diligence and underwriting processes
• Evaluate, report and present all potential opportunities to the investment committee
• Lead and manage a professional and dedicated investment team
Requirements:
• Minimum 10+ years of experience of relevant real estate investment in China, with a focus on mixed use, residential and industrial sectors;
• Ideal hold a real estate related degree or related business subject (CFA qualified is a plus)
• Solid understanding of China rules and regulations; as well as PRC’s real estate transaction structures for onshore and offshore investments
• Proven leadership qualities as well as advanced presentational capability
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
