Our client is a Reputable International Banking Group and a market leader in Investment Banking. As part of continued growth in Asia, an outstanding specialist role has arisen for an experienced Media Relations and Communications professional to join the Regional Corporate Communications team in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Corporate Communications, you will be the expert in Media Relations and Communications Strategies and Execution for the Asia region with particular focuses on Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and various equities businesses. You will develop and execute media communications strategies to promote and position the Bank's name, activities and products through the relevant media channels. You will have ownership of developing and maintaining media relations / contacts to achieve the best media opportunities across Asia, provide support in all forms of media channels, monitor media coverage and distribution to external and internal clients. In addition, you will work with senior management and executives on media activities and interviews which would assist in corporate brand / image building and advise them on participation with external events and functions. As the key media communications expert in the region, you will work closely with other team members in Corporate Communications to develop the overall group communications strategy, assist in other strategic initiatives, reputational risk and broader bank's issues and news.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Minimum 8 - 10 years relevant experience in Media Relations / Communications within the Financial Services Sector
- Knowledge of equities products, ECM and / or DCM
- Experience from financial press or financial journalism with strong knowledge of the financial markets and issues would also be considered
- Established media contacts and connections in Asia
- Excellent communications and presentation skills in written and spoken English
- Some travel within the Asia region maybe required
