PBIS combines its understanding of the complexity of mailing and shipping to over 190 countries with leading edge technology and automation to provide more efficient and reliable service for all types of business mail ranging from letters to publications to parcels. PBIS has five mail processing facilities: Newark, NJ, Elk Grove Village, IL, Itasca, IL, Corona, CA and Hayes, England. All processing facilities have fully-staffed Operations and Customer Relations departments with personnel totaling over 450. Summary of Position The position of Vice President, Sales is responsible for leading the sales organization within the International Services division of Pitney Bowes. The position has responsibility for achieving $25 million in new sales through three vertically aligned sales teams. The total number of sales representatives is 21. Primary Responsibilities Lead the sales organization which includes hiring, training, evaluating and on going development of sales managers and sales executives. Generate profitable sales of approximately $25 million. Support customer retention activities. Creation and implementation of annual sales budget to include revenue, sales compensation program, and travel expense. Increase profitability of new business. Work with product management team to enhance current products, create new products, and deliver to market. Effectively manage and expand sales pipeline. Expand cross-sell success among Pitney Bowes business units. Success Factors Hire and retain high performing sales managers and sales executives. Highly effective at managing activities that drive new sales performance. Achieve sales growth that will meet or exceed annual sales goal. Complete transition of sales force from account management to new business creation. Increase margins annually. High percentage of time spent with sales reps in the field, especially with high-value prospects. Visible to top tier customers Ability to take "big picture" direction and create/prioritize day-to-day tasks. Ability to analyze data and execute sales plan.
