VP – SCO recruitment

Responsibilities
Moody's Infrastructure Finance Group has an immediate opening for a Vice President-Senior Credit Officer. The individual will be responsible for the ongoing credit assessment of a portfolio of high profile corporate enterprises that issue debt for public infrastructure purposes including electric, gas and water distribution utilities, independent power producers, as well as gas pipeline operators.

Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities include leading meetings with issuers and investors, analyzing complex spreadsheet data, financial modeling, writing credit reports, presenting credit recommendations at rating committees, and authoring special research comments. Analytical tasks include quantitative assessment of financial statements, financial forecasts, and economic/market data, as well as analysis of financing documents including official statements, bond indentures, liquidity agreements, swap agreements and other documents.

The individual is expected to build and maintain strong business relationships with an array of financial market participants, including infrastructure debt issuers, financial advisors, underwriters, and investors. Strong communication skills are important. The individual is also expected to be a strong team player and work seamlessly with other teams within the organization. In addition, this individual will need to conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development guidance to support staff.

Qualifications
The individual should have well-developed analytical skills (accounting, finance and/or economics), strong written and oral communication capabilities, solid interpersonal skills including proven managerial experience and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities within deadlines while also complying with internal procedures and best practices as well as existing regulations. Strong abilities in Excel, Word and PowerPoint are necessary. Eight to ten years experience in project or infrastructure finance, or a related field. Master's degree strongly preferred. Moderate travel is required.
