Our client is a top global Credit Ratings Agency. This is a new desk covering entities issuing debt in the Public and Infrastructure Financing space.
Job Description
This senior analyst will provide lead coverage of a ratings portfolio for The Client's utility and infrastructure franchise in Asia (ex Japan and Australia). As lead analyst, this person will conduct high quality quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess the credit quality of a variety of entities and debt instruments and conduct ongoing monitoring to support rating accuracy.
This individual will effectively manage internal and external relationships at very senior levels, and will write comprehensive and thought provoking research on individual companies and the sector.
As the team grows, the right person in this role may take on management responsibilities for the Hong Kong based project and infrastructure team, and will become an integral part of the leadership team in the region. In addition, this individual may be involved in developing and executing research and outreach initiatives throughout the region.
The Successful Applicant
- A minimum of 10 or more years of relevant Credit Analysis experience, ideally covering the Public Sector or Energy Financing;
- Understanding of complex project finance transaction structures, with experience reviewing and assessing key transaction documentation
- Previous experience writing research in either an equity or credit market context
- Strong written/spoken English is essential, as is Mandarin language (native Chinese is strongly preferred)
- Previous experience in managing a small team and developing a franchise would be advantageous; desire to be a leader in the Asia regional organization.
