VP- Senior Credit Analyst recruitment
Our client is offering the unique opportunity to work on a small, tight-knit European investment team, which is part of a larger global investment team. Reporting to the Head of Credit Research in London, and working in close partnership with the Munich based Senior Portfolio Manager, the Senior Credit Analyst provides primary credit research to support investment purchases as well as on-going portfolio monitoring and surveillance.
The primary function of this role is analysing, monitoring, and assessing the credit worthiness of asset-backed securities to be purchased or owned in our client’s treasury’s non-dollar portfolio.
YOUR DAY-DAY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
-Collecting, collating and analysing performance data at the cusip level;
-Documenting the creditworthiness of new purchases with written credit/security analysis, cash flow modelling, corporate credit analysis of seller/servicers and legal documentation analysis and review appropriate for the relative level of credit risk in the related security;
-Monitoring of industry fundamentals and technicals within sectors, notifying portfolio managers and risk managers of changes which may lead to credit or trading losses; and
-Liaising with investment managers to leverage experience and assist them with their investment process through bond analysis and research.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Experienced credit analyst with between 5-10 years experience in fixed income, asset-backed securities.
- Highly numerate with experience of working with large volumes of financial data.
- Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a high-pressure environment.
- Undergraduate degree, preferably masters and/or CFA.
- A working knowledge of German.
