Department
Moody's Global Financial Institutions Group is one of four broad business lines of Moody's Investors Service. The group has over 300 employees in 20 offices around the world and assigns credit ratings and publishing research on banks, insurers, finance companies, securities firms, asset managers and managed investments.

The GFIG Research Team contributes to the production of insightful industry reports and other topical GFIG research globally, working with analysts and managers and with other Moody's departments.

Responsibilities
Overall objective: Enhance quality and impact of research published by Moody's Global Financial Institutions Group (GFIG)
- Lead the production of insightful industry reports and other topical research
- Ensure research meets high, consistent quality standards by partnering with analysts and senior management
- Develop and lead initiatives that enhance GFIG's credit analysis, research and investor outreach
- Author thought-leading topical research for GFIG, working closely with analysts and senior management
- Ensure quality, clarity and timeliness of research publications, working under tight deadlines
- Generate and develop ideas for new reports and new research products
- Deliver presentations to analysts, senior management, as well as investors, media and other external audiences
- Partner with media relations, editors, Moody's Analytics and other internal departments

Qualifications
- Graduate degree (e.g. MBA, journalism, Master's) preferred
- Seven to ten years relevant professional experience, ideally in both financial analysis and in research / financial writing

Key Tech and Non-Tech Skills
- Demonstrated excellent ability to communicate and write in English
- Ability to conduct and critically review financial analysis
- Strong commitment to quality and attention detail
- Ability to work closely with analysts and senior executives within GFIG and across Moody's
- Ability to work both independently with limited supervision and as part of a diverse team, along with the capacity and desire to assume greater responsibility and autonomy
- Professional designation (e.g. CFA charter holder) a plus
- Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communications skills in English; competency in other languages highly desirable
