VP – Services and Technology recruitment

Responsibilities
The Vice President - Senior Analyst will monitor an existing portfolio of rated companies operating in the Business Services and Technology-related industries, and be the lead analyst to establish debt ratings for new issuers. The analyst will continuously assess the relative credit profile of the individual companies based on expectations of financial condition, business, industry and macro risks, operating performance, management strategy, developing competition and capital structure. From the analysis, the analyst will recommend to the rating committee changes appropriate changes in the ratings or ratings outlook. The analyst will lend expertise to other analysts in the group as well, through active participation in portfolio reviews and other meetings.

The analyst will publish written research for companies regularly, as well as prepare industry outlooks and related research on the credit implications of topical developments in the industry. Extensive communication of the ratings rationale and rating sensitivities to investors, issuers and bankers is anticipated, through meetings and formal presentations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferred; CFA desirable, but not necessary. Ten (10) + years of increasingly responsible positions in credit analysis. Desired skills include: Experience in assessing the implications of complex corporate and capital structures, and of financing documents; Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with senior executives (Treasurer, CFO, CEO and operating management) and to manage relationships with a range of issuers, investors and intermediaries; Ability to prepare written analysis to support analytical judgment; Strong presentation skills are desirable, as well as interest in public speaking; Sensitivity to current market conditions and likely developments, as well as a high level of self-initiative.
