Our client is a well-established Asian Banking Group with key businesses in Consumer Banking, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management and Global Markets. Due to increasing focuses to develop the Corporate Treasury support in Hong Kong, a newly created opportunity has arisen for an experienced Balance Sheet Management specialist to join the team in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Group Head of Corporate Treasury, you will build a small team in Hong Kong focusing on Corporate Treasury support particularly on balance sheet efficiency, liquidity management, funding, capital management while ensuring compliance with internal and regulator liquidity and capital requirements. You will review balance sheet structure, determine optimal balance sheet / capital structure and drive balance sheet efficiency with an overview of group balance sheet exposure across the bank's Hong Kong entities. On the risk management side, you will formulate FX hedging strategies, monitor liquidity and funding risk and establish the liquidity risk management processes / models. You will also assist in developing new product structure analysis in relation to capital, funding and liquidity impacts.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- University degree
- Minimum 12-15 years relevant experience in Treasury, Capital Management and / or Balance Sheet Management gained from the Banking industry
- Asia experience is a must
- Strong experience in liquidity management, treasury risk management, funding plans and Basel 3 would be highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
