VP, Tax and Financial Accounting recruitment
This role is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract and they are looking for a Senior Tax and Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will be included in the Finance Executive Committee, senior leadership group and be responsible for 2 Teams of expert staff including professionally qualified personnel.
Key Accountabilities:
Financial Reporting
- Ensure monthly balance sheet and cash flow reporting of MI pack and subsequent inclusion in Board presentations
- Lead preparation of Group Statutory Accounts (ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP)
- Ensure reconciliations are provided and reviewed for all Balance Sheet GL accounts on a monthly basis
- Ensure all enterprise risk requirements are met around compliance with and documentation of processes and policies
- Generally monitor, enhance and improve the Finance controls environment
Taxation
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements for payment and filing for both corporate tax and VAT inUK, US and France as appropriate
- Manage the VAT registration
- Review tax efficiency of current corporate structure in line with company strategy
- Ensure that all tax queries from within and external to the business are dealt with in a timely and robust manner.
- Ensure that tax is correctly recorded in the Financial Statements and underlying Financial records under both UK GAAP and IFRS as appropriate
Projects
Represent Finance Division on various Projects
Essential Criteria:
The successful candidate will ideally have ACA, or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years PQE
Working knowledge of UKtaxes
Be self-motivated and enjoy taking the initiative
Have good interpersonal skills, be a team player
