Our client is a world leading Investment Bank with a strong and growing local footprint. They are looking to hire a Regional Surveillance Lead to oversee the Surveillance groups located in EMEA and APAC regions.
The successful applicant will be required to work with Compliance officers and analyst to define business requirements and specify data requirements. This role will involve working closely with developers and testers to ensure business requirements have been executed correctly. They will also be working closely with project managers to ensure correct reporting of status and evaluation of effort and solutions. There will be a lot of influencing responsibilities with business users and the application development team. Some of the key responsibilities of the role will encompass full data life cycle from business requirements analysis to data mapping and working with QA teams to facilitate testing. The candidate will also be working with Surveillance users to organize, analyse and document business requirements for surveillance, reports and relevant workflows. They will also be responsible for gathering and documenting functional requirements and producing functional specification; assist with user interface design and wireframe documentation and review; develop use cases and oversee creation of test scripts by QA team; oversee the development of data definitions and scrutinize for anomalies; they will also oversee the integration of data transformation in overall architecture and analyse for efficiency and implement new methodologies around data management when needed.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Experience in Trade Surveillance domain
- Experience in Business/Data Analysis in Capital Markets domain
- Experience with front, middle and back office trade processing platforms and knowledge of trading products and flows
- Experience with standard business modelling techniques, such as cross-functional process flows, use cases, wireframes and UML
- Functional understanding of data modelling and relational database design concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with technical and non-technical members of the organization as well as senior stakeholders
- Ability to multi task and work in a dynamic environment
- Working experience in a SQL server/Oracle/Sybase environment
- Strong Problem management and troubleshooting skills
- Possess excellent documentation and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio and Project
- Experience in Business Analysis and Trade Surveillance area using internal systems or vendor systems like Actimize and Mantas is preferred
- Sound understanding Trade flows and Controls in Capital Markets domain (Equities/Fixed Income/Rates/Credit/Commodities) is preferred
- Formal training in the BA discipline, CBAP certification from IIBA, PMP and PMI etc. is preferred
