VP Treasury Operations recruitment
You will be responsible for :
• The delivery/settlement of equities following the ex/asset process
• The delivery of bonds between clients and exchanges following last trading
• The delivery and recall of non-cash collateral between exchanges/clearing houses and customers
• Cash payment and receipts including co-ordination of daily funding requirements with Corporate Treasury
• Maintenance of nterest rates within core operating system
• Diversification of Client Money assets
• Optimise efficient funding opportunities in conjunction with Global Treasury
The Treasury Operations function requires collaboration with the Business Treasury Function for the optimisation and diversification of assets and with operations to support the client franchise in respect of clearing activities.
Job Functions and responsibilities
The VP role is being created to recognise the importance of the Treasury Operations within the core processing team. The function has expanded due to volume and as a result of change to the regulatory environment due client money requirements with the advent of client money diversification and title transfer of client assets.
- Reporting to the Regional Head of FO and OTC Clearing and the Global Functional Head of FO Treasury Operations
- Manages a team of 7
- Provide strong support to senior FO business management providing analysis including sources and uses of funds
- Develop target state infrastructure for EMEA Treasury Operations
- Facilitate new product initiative requirements
- Active promotion of the FO agenda across and within respective functions
- Constant efficiency focus for BAU responsibilities and ad-hoc requirements
- Develop strong relationships with the finance and business teams within the region to ensure effective partnerships and the sharing of best practice
Job requirements
- Demonstrate strong leadership and staff development skills with prior team management experience essential
- A pro-active individual with strong relationship management and influencing skills
- Strong product knowledge and proven treasury related experience, product control experience would be preferred
- Strong comprehension of control environment requirements and understanding of operational risk
- Ability to develop and implement strategy as part of a global team
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to anticipate issues and aggressively drive initiatives to achieve resolution
- Ability to identify, initiate and implement change with proven track record of delivery
- Candidate should possess excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as formal presentation skills with an ability to liaise with management at senior levels.
- Project management experience is preferable
- Experience in the Futures Options industry specifically in a treasury operations role is essential.
- A solid understanding of Client Money regulations strongly desirable
