VP Wording (Casualty and Environmental) recruitment
In this broad and varied role, your primary responsibility would be to provide in-house legal services to support the company’s global activities and secure their legal interests.
Furthermore your tasks will include:
- Drafting policy forms for Directors and Officers, Excess Casualty and Environmental lines of business
- Analysing terms of new and renewal business to help identify exposures, document/clarify underwriting intent and ensure compliance
- Reviewing, outlining and negotiating diverse underwriting agreements, as well as continuously improving standard forms of agreements and legal processes
- Sustaining and developing knowledge of the company’s business activities, statutory laws, regulations and judicial developments impacting the business.
- Coordinating with the different legal entities worldwide to ensure an effective legal communication within the group and provide relevant legal guidance to the internal employees
The ideal candidate bring in-house insurance experience and holds the following qualifications:
- 8 years experience in policy/contract wording (Casualty and Environmental)
- Commercial minded with solid analytical and technical skills
- Ability to understand key business issues and good interpersonal skills in order to deliver complex messages to a wide audience
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and deal with conflicting agendas
