VP/D Valuation Review / Governance (illiquid products)

The VP level hire (that can be hired at the Director level) is seen as being particularly important for the development of the APAC Valuations function. You are to report directly in to the APAC Head of Valuations with your key stakeholders being Global Business Managers, Desk and Finance heads. The key component to the role is to review all illiquid product valuations produced by the wider APAC valuations team. Review work involves the individual having to break down, review and analyse large pieces of information and data whilst having to then explain to the business (includes review and recommendations on booking models, accounting, pricing and risk relating to structured transactions). The individual should expect to provide technical analysis on illiquid asset valuations, development of methodologies and reserve policies and be key in risk committee meetings (including presentations).

The individual should see this as a great opportunity to be in a highly accountable position, with high level exposure that will lead to director level position whilst either growing out this function or in a front office capacity.

We require an individual ideally from either a Product Control, Structuring or Valuation Governance background that possesses a strong track record in structured transactions. The salary on offer could be seen as being in line with director level salaries elsewhere.
