VP/Director – Metals Trader recruitment
Responsibilities:
• Experience of managing large option portfolios
• Quoting spot, forwards, options to all customer bases including hedge funds
• Working as part of a team on a global book, potentially lead trader on one of the main option books
• Monitor base metals positions
• Work closely with sales to build franchise / actively visit corporate and HF customers
• Engage existing and potential trading counterparts and bank clients directly and through sales people to build a stable of counterparties
• Detail trading strategies and be able to accurately describe cash flows and VAR
• Execute trading strategies in a way that will benefit the firm and the desk's profitability
• Develop new ideas that grow the business and put the firm in a better overall position with respect to the market
Requirements:
• 7+ years of metals market experience, either sales/trading
• Proven track record in New Business acquisition and achievement in Revenue growth targets.
• Leadership and effective communication skills with an ability to quickly establish high credibility with internal business partners and client base.
• Strong product and industry knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree required. MBA Preferred.
