Position Description
Group Description: The Capital Markets team in Morgan Stanley Investment Management's Merchant Banking Real Estate Investing ("MB REI") business is a recently formed, global team focused on coordinating and driving the following key activities across MB REI's fund families:
• Investor coverage
• Fundraising
• Marketing activities
• New product development
• Market intelligence
Role Description: The MB REI Capital Markets group is looking for a thoughtful and solutions-oriented individual to serve as the global point person regarding the business's global fundraising and investor coverage practices, including:
• Coordinating internal and external resources to develop and document a comprehensive global understanding of current and developing regulatory and market requirements and practices related to private equity and real estate marketing and fundraising
• Developing policies, processes and procedures to execute upon global marketing and fundraising activities across a wide range of investment strategies and structures
• Serving as the primary point person within MBREI to address and resolve questions from the Capital Markets and Investment teams
Skills Required
Required Skills:
• Ability to distill complex and/or convoluted rules and regulations into digestible, understandable and actionable information to enhance our fundraising and investor coverage capabilities
• Highly developed inter-personal and influencing skills
• Superior level of attention to detail
• Self starter who is able to work independently, tackling complex problems with limited guidance
• Fluent in Microsoft Office applications
• 4-6 years experience in Financial Services, ideally some of that within an asset management business
