VSP Seismic Processing Geophysicist
Role Synopsis
Baker Hughes is seeking a VSP Seismic Processing Geophysicist to join the team at the Houston Processing Center.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Processing and management of complex borehole seismic projects
Working either individually or as part of a team with larger projects
Preparation and presentation of results to the customer
The delivery of projects to a deadline - the primary objective of VSFusion is to help clients transform data into informed business decisions that maximize asset value
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Geoscience or related earth science discipline (Geophysics would be advantageous)
2+ years of seismic data processing experience
General knowledge of the oil and gas exploration and production industry
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of VSP principles and VSP data processing is desirable
UNIX experience a plus
Excellent technical and analytical skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
The candidate must be able to work in a team environment
Able to work independently and with a minimum of direct supervision
