- Conduct vulnerability assessments for all ITA networks, including subnets
- Conduct vulnerability assessment for all ITA applications and operating systems
- Conduct network security audits and scanning on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Network security audits may also be required and directed by the Government to support accreditation, connection approval, current threats which may affect the overall mission, or to meet customer requirements. Security audits to include DISA Gold Disk and SRRs scanning on a quarterly basis.
- Conduct network scans, report vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
- Compile and track vulnerabilities over time for metrics purposes.
- Provide vulnerability metrics and reports.
- Conduct follow on interviews with network and systems administrators to determine if they require additional guidance on mitigating the vulnerabilities found during the assessment, and provide hands-on training and to correct the measures on the vulnerabilities found .
- Develop, test, and modify scripts and procedures to enhance vulnerability assessments.
- Develop and/or maintain a vulnerability assessment database that includes assessment results and reports. The database shall allow for comparisons of audit results and reports. The results should be analyzed and trends provided in reports.
- Provide detailed reports and briefing on all matters pertaining to Vulnerability Assessments in a draft and final form.
- Develop and Maintain the Vulnerability Assessment program standard operating procedures, and concept of operations.
- Develop a project plan and feasibility study to incorporate a virtual enterprise approach to conduct vulnerability scans remotely to ITA and its customer base.
Job Requirements:
- In depth knowledge of Computer Network Exploitation techniques.
- Experience in application of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) concepts, practices, and tools.
- Strong information security/cyber security background.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and programmatic information.
- Knowledge and experience with DoD Combatant Commands, Military Services, Agencies, and Field Activities operations and missions.
- Experience interpreting, applying and advising others on DOD IA/CND policies, guidance, and regulations.
- Knowledge of CJCSM 6510.01A, “Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) Volume 1 (Incident Handling Program),” dated 24 Jun 2009 or later.
