Warehouse Associate Job in Pompton Plains 07444, New Jersey Us
Patriot Flooring Supply, Inc., a wholesale distributor and domestic subsidiary of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Associate for our Pompton Plains, New Jersey location. This position which reports to the Sr. Operations Manager of Patriot Flooring, will be responsible for receiving, warehousing, and distributing product within the Pompton Plains, NJ facility by performing the following duties:
- Provide service to customers arriving for product pickups or returns
- Interpret customer pick list to determine what product needs moved, gathered, or distributed
- Unload inbound product receipts
- Convey product from receiving location to warehousing location
- Sort and organize product into appropriate warehouse storage locations
- Retrieve and assemble customer orders from warehouse locations
- Secure product on pallets, package or band product for shipment, and convey product to shipping location
- Mark product with appropriate identifying information
- Count product for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards
- Load outbound product shipments
- Appropriately register product receipts, bin changes, and shipments to maintain accurate inventory records
- Uses computer to enter or view inventory or customer transaction records
- Maintain general house keeping standards in the warehouse
- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years working in a warehouse environment
- Must be forklift certified
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs with reasonable accomodations
