Our client, a leading manufacturer distributor, is seeking a Warehouse Manager at their County Durham site.
Role description:
Reporting to the Senior Management, you will have full responsibility for the warehouse function of this fast-moving distribution company. In tandem with operational responsibilities you will support the senior management structure by providing accurate data to identify potential efficiencies and will also ensure the team adheres to strict KPI's performance figures. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with senior management and show your worth in a challenging role with a firm succession plan in place. This will be working primarily on a Monday- Friday basis, but there will sometimes be a requirement to meet the needs of the business outside of these hours.
Who we're looking for:
* Knowledge of managing an effective Stores and Despatch function that is integral to the success of the extended supply chain.
* Experience of best practice material storage, handling and transportation in order to maximise operating efficiency whilst ensuring the highest levels of product quality
* Knowledge of outbound logistics planning and execution
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Proactive approach to achieving minimum inventory accuracy standards and process improvements to enhance service levels and operating efficiency
* Knowledge of ERP systems including the accurate and timely recording of stock movements and management of associated purchase orders
* Someone who is assertive and able to manage change,formalise processes, analyse warehouse flow and develop people.
