Warehouse Manager for Becker Electric Supply, an electrical distributor in Dayton, Ohio
The ideal candidate will be a college graduate with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills are necessary to interact with warehouse staff, sales personnel, and branch employees.
Internet experience and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are a must. Previous experience with RF scanner Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Efficiently safely manage the operations of all warehouse functions, processes and procedures
- Supervise day-to-day order fulfillment, inventory control, receiving, and material deliveries in accordance with the end users schedule
- Effectively manage the warehouse team requiring weekly meetings and presentations to branch employees
- Manage and communicate effectively with freight carriers and vendors
- Responsible for implementing and managing Safety program
Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in Management, Business, Transportation, or Operations related curriculum preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of proven front-line management experience in operations for a manufacturing or distribution company
• Demonstrated capability to manage a high quality, efficient and cost-effective operations a must
• Inventory management experience preferred
• Fleet/logistics management a plus
• Inventory control experience with hands-on management of warehouse products, supplies and goods
• Ability to lift/carry up to 60 lbs, push/pull cases up to 300 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
