Warehouse Manager Job in Tuscaloosa 35453, Alabama US
Bluegrass Supply Chain Services has an immediate opening for an Experienced Warehouse Manager to support its operations in the Vance, AL area. The Warehouse Manager will have responsibility to effectively manage, oversee and control all operational and associate activities within multiple warehouses including inventory and materials management, kitting activities and light assembly as well as ensuring product quality. The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for implementing policies, holding a high standard of safety and the continuous training of associates in the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager will report to the General Manager of Distribution.
Minimum Qualifications include:
· Ability to excel in a fast paced environment while meeting safety standards of the company and quality standards of the customer
· Ability to operate any size forklift as needed
· Requires the ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft outlook, word and excel. Experience with WMS programs is strongly preferred.
· At least 5 years previous working experience with inventory management and materials management or other warehouse/logistics experience is required. Automotive industry experience is preferred.
· At least 5 years supervisory experience
· Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively within and outside the organization
