Our customer, a leading 3rd party logistics company in the west suburbs, has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Order Planner. Job Summary -Plans the orders in the Warehouse Management System and monitors the matrix system to determine high priority versus low priority orders -Manages the daily flow of orders and delegates orders to warehouse pickers -Reviews documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements. -Creates reports in Excel and records order data, including orders shipped, picking/packing productivity rates, and quality control measures. -Maintains inventory data necessary to meet order demands -Communicates with Help Desk to resolve WMS issues -Serves as a liaison between Customers and Operations Team -Participates in Lean Warehousing system on floor -Spends about 75% of their time on the computer and 25% on the warehouse floor Working hours: 2:30 pm--12:00 am May require flexiblity for coverage; Overtime as needed Skills Qualifications -High School diploma or equivalent required, related college courses preferred -Previous experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems -Knowledge of quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective assembly and distribution of goods -Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources. -Strong Microsoft Excel skills required -Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, auditing, or verifying information or data. -Must be able to work independently and with little supervision -All candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug test, present two professional references Interested in joining our team?
