Warehouse Supervisor Job in Durham 27704, North Carolina US

Overview:   The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overall duties involving managing day-to-day activities of the warehouse including deliveries, shipping, receiving, inventory control and personnel leadership.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Oversees the warehouse operation in support of the sale/delivery of store products.

·         Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.

·         Maintains accurate and timely delivery schedule. 

·         Contacts customers for delivery and follows up on any and all issues with customers.

·         Operates/drives a truck that transports merchandise to and from the warehouse, stores, and customer homes. 

·         Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service.

·         Loads, secures and unloads cargo.

·         Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.

·         Responsible for vehicle maintenance, cleanliness and presentation.

·         Performs an accurate count of the inventory weekly as directed by the Director of Operations.

 

Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.

·         Two (2) years of warehouse/driving experience preferred.

·         Must have a clean driving record.

·         Must be able to drive 16 ft. straight truck.

·         Must be able to work flexible hours including weekend and nights.

·         Must have demonstrated customer service skills and be fluent in English.

·         Must be comfortable navigating the local area with a GPS device.

 

Physical Demands:

·         Ability to list up to 200 pounds with a partner.

·         Ability to withstand hot and/or cold temperatures.

·         May be required to sit for long periods of time.

 

Work Environment: Work performed in a warehouse office environment with a moderate noise level.
