Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse manager
My client is a leading provider in flow equipment products,systems ands services to worldwide oil,gas and process industries.
They are currently looking for a Warehouse supervisor insuring products and materials are being handled in accordance with procedures. Ensuring a safe working environment, whilst maintaining quality processes and documentation.
Roles and responsibilities:
- To be part of their Warehousing function, ensuring products and material are stored and handled in accordance with procedures
- To efficiently and accurately manage and record the safe storage and movement of inventory materials in a manner that promotes the achievement of delivery and Quality Assurance goals
- To manage systems and work practices that ensure improved Inventory Record accuracy
This position reports to the Operations Manager, and it is responsible for the:-
- Storage
- Order Picking
- Issuing of Materials
- Painting and packaging for shipment
- Management of customer property warehousing
- Receiving customer property
- Coordinate rental equipment comprising of a broad base of specially engineered products used in multi-level Bills of Materials.
- To manage the receipt, storage, location, picking and dispatch functions of the company
- To ensure the integrity of the stock control system is maintained through accurate recording of stock movements in the computer system
- To manage Warehouse personnel, ensuring that standards of good housekeeping practices are maintained
- Participate in a periodical review of transport and packaging arrangements with a view to reduce costs for services and materials
- To ensure that all tasks performed are in accordance with safe working practice and the Safety Management system
- To understand and have prior knowledge of import/export and custom controls.Ensuring Health, Safety, Security Environmental procedures are adhered to.
The successful candidate will have minimum 3 years experience, A solid experience in warehouse manufacturing environment. A sound knowledge and demonstrated understanding of a computerised stock control system ( MRPII preferred)
Experience in a manufacturing envronment, involving the movement of large number of specialised products some of which are lifted items is a must.
Forklift licence,crane and slinging competency is a must.
