Warehouse Team Leaders

Over the past 12 months IKEA has experienced immense growth with the opening of 2 new stores nationally and the roll out of a new warehouse management system. Due to the increased workload from our new stores we have an exciting opportunity for two dedicated Warehouse Team Leaders to join our team.

Our Warehouse Team Leaders play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores remain topped up with the right goods, at the right time, with the right quantity and quality at the lowest possible operation cost.

In overseeing the day to day operations of the Distribution Centre, you will supervise your team of up to 15 co-workers to ensure the efficient and effective running of our warehouse in line with forecasts, safety and quality goals. You will understand the impact you and your team will have on our Logistics colleagues in store and ultimately our end customer.

Our ideal candidate will love working in a challenging, fast-paced environment and posses the following skills and experience:

* Demonstrated experience as a warehouse team leader or logistics team leader ideally within a unionized site

* A firm but fair leadership style with desire to over-exceed expectations and KPI’s

* Detailed oriented and the ability to maintain high standards of quality to prevent product damage

* Experience using WMS’s (warehouse management systems ) with strong IT skills

* Flexible working style as you will need to adapt in our ever changing retail world.

We operate 2 shifts, AM and PM, 6 days a week and are seeking a Team Leader for each shift.
