Warehouse/Backup Driver (W-201)
Airgas South, Inc., a subsidiary of Airgas, Inc. the nations leading distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases and welding supplies, has a WAREHOUSE/BACKUP DRIVER position available at our PASCAGOULA, MS location.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse will perform warehousing, shipping, and receiving duties; as well as occasional work in the showroom assisting customers with sales at the counter. In addition, act as Backup Driver, when needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Stocking, storing, labeling, picking, packing and distribution of all materials and supplies.
* Physical receipt, checking and storage of delivered materials into the warehouse; performs inventory of warehouse materials.
* Enforces policies for proper receipt, storage and distribution of materials; reviews invoices.
* Operates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
* Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed.
* Follows company policies and procedures.
* Performs related duties as required.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* If qualified, perform as Backup Driver as needed.
* Ability to organize and control inventoried items.
* Perform general housekeeping duties as required.
* Other duties and projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
* 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations and maintenance of warehouse equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
* Working knowledge of the industrial gas business and welding products is highly desirable.
* Forklift certified.
Must be at least 21 years old.
* Must possess a Class A or B CDL with HazMat (NO EXCEPTIONS)
* Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.
* SAP experience a plus.
