NATURE OF POSITION:

Ship and Receive Project and repair related materials and components. Conducts physical inventory and maintains accurate inventory for all components stocked.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Manages Inventory using electronic system (CU, Spreadsheet, and SharePoint) using Airgas issued computer.
* Evaluates the condition of removed equipment to determine if that equipment can be redeployed. Takes appropriate action to place the equipment back in stock, rebuild, or scrap.
* Works with Cryogenic Tech team to provide parts for scheduled maintenance (gauges, safeties, bursting disk)
* Maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for the installation and maintenance of cryogenic systems
* Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
* Attend all Monday Morning Toolbox Safety Conference Calls" and monthly safety meetings.
* Serves as backup for the equipment coordinator to cover scheduled and unscheduled absences.
* Loads and unloads palletized loads of equipment from flatbed trailers using a forklift.
* Stocks Parts Bins with appropriate materials
* Maintains certifications and paperwork for purchased assemblies

* Ability to perform very heavy work-routinely lift 25 to 75 lb., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lb. Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
* Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion required.
* Ability to perform work during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities including the tightening of ratchet binders.
* Must be able to safely drive a forklift.
* Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
* Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees.
* Talk to and hear customers/co-workers as well as smell/hear leaking gas from cylinders.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Must have a minimal 3 years mechanical experience
* Must have knowledge of electrical welding, brazing, cutting and fabrication technologies.
* Must be knowledgeable with 49 CFR173.34 and CGA pamphlets C-5, C-6, C-6.1, C-6.2, C-6.3, C-13, S1.1.
* Must be able to read, understand, and follow Airgas Fill Plant Operations Manuals and Airgas Standard Operating procedures.
* Must be have basic understanding of computers (email, printing, faxing, sending pictures, and opening files)
* Must be capable of following a set schedule with the ability to adapt for emergency service calls.
* Must possess good communication skills with customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
* Must have physical strength and stamina to handle cylinders on a regular basis.
* Must be dependable, safety conscious and able to work well with others.
* Must be able to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
* Must be able to work occasional overtime, when necessary.
* Must be capable of performing maintenance and inspections on equipment.
* Must be familiar with repair and maintenance of bulk tanks, pumps and other related equipment.
* Must be able to read and comprehend vendor repair manuals.
* Must be flexible and possess the ability to work alone as well with others.
* Ability to use hand tools (electrical and manual) in a safe manner
* Must be able to operate a forklift, and be able to maintain appropriate forklift certifications.
* Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customers' needs and managements' expectations.
* Must have a clean driving record with no violations for a minimum of at least 3 years.
* Must be detail-oriented to complete paperwork each day.
* Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 110 degrees.
* Must successfully meet physical exam requirements for this position, including drug screening. Will also be part of the Drug and Alcohol Random program.
* Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment.
