Southwest Florida Trane provides quality Trane air conditioning systems to commercial customers on the west coast of Florida. SUMMARY

Responsible for the delivery of customer merchandise orders.  Assisting with on-site activities, managing receipt, stocking, and shipping of products; staging and all purchasing transactions with Trane and local vendors.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

·         Deliver parts to customer locations or job sites.

·         Responsible for timely notification of vehicle repairs and maintenance.

·         Periodically assist with staging, shipping and receiving parts, equipment, and supplies.

·         Stocks the parts stores with an appropriate amount of merchandise.

·         Assist with conducting yearly inventory and cycle counting..

·         Practices safe material handling techniques.

·         Responsible for identifying excess and obsolete inventory, and maintaining system inventory accuracy.

·         Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one year warehouse experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Forklift Certification necessary.  Warehouse experience a plus. Computer knowledge necessary.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Good communication skills.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must posses basic math skills.  Ability to perform these basic operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver’s License – Forklift Certification - Ability to pass a drug screen and background screen

This position works in a typical parts store/warehouse environment.  While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.  The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
