Growing Manufacturing Company located in Quakertown, PA is looking for a Forklift Operator. This is a temp to hire opportunity offering competitive pay and benefits package. Job Description:
- Reports to Production Scheduler
- Drives stand-up, sit-down, and high-reach forklifts.
- Loads and unloads trucks, order picking, stretch-wrapping pallets, packing, palletizing, shipping and receiving.
- Completes daily inbound and receiving logs. Completes outbound shipping logs.
- Responsible for control of inbound and outbound materials/ingredients/products. No damaged product is sent out. No damaged raw material is accepted in. Only accept materials and ingredients consigned to the company.
- Labels raw materials and ingredients.
- Notifies Maintenance when problems arise or other work needs to be done on forklifts, dock, doors, or other areas of the plant.
- Rotates stock in freezer and dry warehouse to maintain correct inventory usage.
- Transports and stages product in coolers/freezers.
- Maintains warehouse storage facility. Stores items in correct locations and keeps area free of debris.
- Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and HACCP food safety plan guidelines.
- Communicates with operators from other shifts.
- Removes waste from plant to dumpsters.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Assures food safety standards with regards to GMPs and HACCP plan are being followed by self and fellow employees.
- aintains a professional, courteous manner with all visitors, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Follows established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Working hours: 2PM-12:30AM Tuesday - Friday
- 3-5 years of experience operating a forklift operator
- Must have prior certification to operate forklift
- Must have solid work history
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Passes drug screening test and criminal background check.
- Experience working in the Food and Beverage Industry or Meat Packing Industry would be a plus!
