Water Treatment Chemical Sales Representative (SE)

Clayton Industries, a leading international company engaged in the design, manufacture, sales service of industrial marine steam generating equipment and heat recovery systems has an opening for a Water Treatment Chemical Sales Representative for our South East Territory.

Summary:       Sells Water Treatment Chemicals and Services to Clayton Customers

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Schedule appointments with prospects to promote our products and services, inspect their water/steam systems and prepare proposals/quotations for water treatment chemicals to protect their equipment.

·         Promote the merits of our water treatment program and attempt to persuade prospects to purchase our water treatment products and services.

·         Make routine visits to existing customers to monitor their progress of their water treatment program(s).

·         Analyze their existing water conditions and discuss the test results to the customer.

·         Attempt to resolve any problems encountered with customer’s water treatment process.

·         Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers and purchasing contacts.

Education and/or Experience:  BS degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Science and 2 years of related experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,
technical procedures or governmental regulations. Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, peers and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:  Have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Have the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:  Have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situation where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software (i.e. Microsoft Excel); Word Processing software (i.e. Microsoft Word).
