Key Roles Responsibilities

* Handle individual licensing matters for Relevant Individuals, Licensed Representatives, Executive Officers, Responsible Officers, Principals, etc.
* Assist to adapt existing (and develop new) WB Compliance policies and procedures for application in the country designed to eliminate or minimise the risk of breaches of regulatory requirements and of damage to the Bank's reputation.
* Assist to ensure that compliance policies and procedures are clearly communicated to WB management, front line and support staff and Legal Compliance staff.
* Co-ordinate compliance projects affecting WB to provide technical knowledge and guidance and ensure a consistent approach is adapted.
* Assist to provide a pro-active advisory service to WB management and other stakeholders in relation to regulatory, reputational and ethical matters. React promptly regarding compliance matters upon the needs of the WB businesses.
* Assist WB management to implement controls in relation to all new legal and regulatory developments relevant to WB.
* Liaise with Internal Audit function to ensure that compliance weaknesses identified as a result of Audits relating to WB activities are tracked and resolved.
* Carry out Compliance Monitoring Review or other reviews and tests to identify the compliance weaknesses for WB.
* Assist to handle regulatory exams and/or enquiries and carry out regulatory investigations.
* Represent the compliance function on relevant internal and external committees.
* Develop relationships with compliance officers in other reputable institutions and identify current benchmarks of compliance controls.
* Support WB in the design and delivery of WB specific training, and the raising of staff awareness.
* Assist to maintain an active dialogue with regulators and support the WB during regulatory inspections.

Qualifications Skills

* University graduated.
* Minimum 2 years experience in related field. Banking industry is preferred.
* Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and the ability to interpret them and apply them to actual situations.
* Knowledge of the WB Businesses and products.
