Wealth Advisory Analyst Senior recruitment

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The individual in this role will be a member of the Wealth Advisory Group of Capital Group Private Client Services (CGPCS). The Wealth Advisory Group was formed to provide excellence of advisory services for CGPCS clients through thoughtful, rigorous and professional analysis of investment, estate planning and tax issues. He/she will work closely with the Senior Manager, Regional Directors and Investment Counselors across the country to provide Wealth Strategy Analyses for clients and prospective clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

ANALYSIS:

 • Work with Investment Counselors to help solve asset allocation and investment planning issues
 • Help to develop asset allocation strategies for achieving financial goals and objectives of clients and prospective clients
 • Produce customized asset allocation analyses, along with income and tax analyses as needed
 • Assist in developing and testing additional analysis tools (both off-the-shelf and proprietary applications)
 • Conduct research on a variety of wealth planning issues to use in the development of presentations, white papers, and/or training material
 • May participate in conference calls or meetings with Investment Counselors and clients/prospective clients

TRAINING/COACHING:

Assist with training Investment Counselors around the country on wealth advisory concepts, analyses and presentations developed to ensure Investment Counselors are valued partners to financial intermediaries and trusted advisors to their clients.

HIRING CRITERIA:

 • This individual must combine strong analytic skills and specific planning knowledge with intellectual curiosity for asset allocation and personal financial planning
 • He/she should be able to demonstrate an understanding of wealth advisory issues and services, asset allocation, relevant tax and legal legislation, Modern Portfolio Theory, and investment analytics
 • 5-10 years of relevant financial services experience is strongly preferred
 • Experience at a major accounting firm working with high net worth or ultra high net worth clients a plus
 • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in math
 • Excellent presentation and communication skills. Should be able to deliver content effectively in group and one-on-one settings
 • Project management experience a plus
 • Bachelor’s degree and ideally one or more industry-related credentials: CPA,  • CFP, CIMA, CFA, CEBS,CPWA etc.
 • Conversant in the dynamics of investments and financial planning
 • Strong desire to pursue knowledge and expand awareness of investment and wealth planning concepts and strategies
