Warehouse / Fabrication

The candidate for this position will be involved in all facets of warehouse/fabrication operation. Reporting directly to the owners, this individual will possess good organizational and people skills; have previous working knowledge of warehouse operation and have a strong mechanical aptitude.

Position Description

·         Shipping: Pulling, checking and preparing of 5-15 UPS and common carrier shipments daily. (Primarily using UPS and Fed-x).

·         Managing, scheduling and performing daily fabrications and valve assembly.

·         Freight Logistics: Scheduling of incoming overseas containers, international freight costs as well as meeting with freight companies on a semi annual basic

·         Preparing for receiving inspection of in-bound/out bound shipments.

·         Inventory: Overall responsibility of 1+ million inventories.

·         Streamlining operations for efficiencies while handling day to day sorting and storing of product.

·         Hiring, training and review of full time, part time and temporary personnel.

·         Experience in traveling for business 3-4 times/year to major project jobsites to perform contractor training and certification.

·         Proven ability to do forward planning and task delegation a must.

·         Experience with implementation of bar coding and labeling in 1st qtr 2012.

·         Develop and implement improved fabrication and QC procedures and processes.

·         Maintenance: Daily cleaning and organizing of warehouse



Requirements

 

·         Candidate must have at least 3-5 years of formal warehouse experience pattern of advancement and management responsibilities.

·         High mechanical aptitude including 3-5 yrs experience in fabrication, light manufacturing, equipment repair or valve assembly and actuation. 

·         Formal training on a forklift and aisle picker.

·         Be physically fit with ability to lift and raise 70 pounds from the floor.

·         Be able to work flexible hours as project deadlines dictate.

·         Computer: A high proficiency with Excel for estimating and costing of fabrication projects a must. Experience in software programs such as Macola, Crystal Reports and CAD a plus.

·         Be able to provide a valid license and reliable automobile.

·         Must be reliable and drug free (all employees must pass drug screening).

·         Be able to provide three references from former employers that we may contact.

Our facility is inspected regularly. Tools, equipment and overall operation inside and out must be kept clean and organized at all times.
