Position Description:

The marketing consultant will work closely with the Labor, Public and Strategic (LPS) Retention Marketing team to provide custom marketing communications to LPS clients. We are looking for a dynamic marketing professional who is a self-starter, creative, and is passionate about healthcare and marketing. This role reports to the Manager, LPS Retention Marketing. 

Responsibilities include:
- Assist Senior Marketing Specialists in coordinating the development of marketing collateral.
- Work with Manager on special assigned projects.
- Uses established processes to track and manage marketing projects.
- Partner with Senior Marketing Specialists to develop, execute, and evaluates marketing plans.
- Drives successful implementation including preparing creative briefs, reviewing and approving all technical and artistic phases of marketing collateral and materials development (print and online); managing vendor and internal unit activities and preparing reports and communications on project status to management.
- Update client micro sites.
- Assist in the development of Web landing pages.
- Will work directly with Manager, Senior Marketing Specialists, and internal departments and vendors, but not directly with Account Managers or clients.

Requirements:
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with attention to details.
- Experience developing marketing collateral and working with creative and production teams
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and practices including product promotion, placement, and pricing techniques.
- Familiar with using Web content management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health plans and insurance products, services and their financial drivers.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines and/or milestone requirements.
- Good analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use advanced features of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Web tools.
- BA/BS in a related field such as marketing or business and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of marketing experience with at least one year in a health insurance environment. An MBA is preferred not required.
