Metis Secure Solutions, LLC, a growing emergency communication systems company located in Pittsburgh, PA, provides solutions for manufacturing/industrial, commercial, military, colleges and universities markets. We are seeking a Web / PC / Database Engineer for PC-based web and database applications. This is an opportunity to be part of a team that designs, creates and manufactures products that saves lives.
Responsibilities include specification, design, implementation, and testing of software used on PCs for both local and internet based applications and design of custom Graphical User Interfaces for real-time systems.
Required Skills:
- B.S. degree in computer science or computer engineering
- Knowledge of C, expertise in C++, Java
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- 2+ years of experience in developing applications at all development stages for Windows and Linux environments preferrred
- Experience developing web applications using open source or commercial UI framework with cross browser compatibility, including back-end development preferred
- Graphical User Interface design and development experience helpful, especially for real time user interface
- Excellent verbal and organizational skills and ability to work both independently and with a team required.
