Job Description:
Do you have a creative and artistic eye with a good sense of usability? Do you grok the web, are you passionate about design, and can you take a concept from wireframe to html? If so, we want to work with you. As an intermediate level web designer, you will play an active part on our design team (supported by two junior designers, a senior designer, and a product designer). You’ll play an important role in taking our client's vision and transforming that into a web design.
Specifically you will be responsible to:
- Take a project through a design brief; translate it into a wireframe, design, and final html/css.
- Actively participate (often taking the lead) in creative and design discussions with clients.
- Work with multiple clients on several different projects simultaneously.
- Work with sales, project managers, and developers to marry your vision and ideas into the Vin65 ecommerce platform.
- Work independently – as well as contribute to the design team. Be part of a weekly (and often more frequently) design meetings.
- The typical intermediate designer stuff: weekly reporting, time tracking, look for opportunities to push our product, bring ideas to meetings, discuss issues, and continually look for ways to improve the process, etc.

You know how to work with a team and you communicate well with both your team and clients. You can handle multi-projects, prioritize, and you can meet deadlines.
You have technical skill, you’re fluid in Adobe Creative Suite, you know HTML5, CSS, and are fairly good at jQuery.
You’re organized in your work and your files are well commented.

We are opening an office in the USA, and this job will be based out of Oakland. You’ll be the 11-12th full-time employee on the Vin65 team and one of the founding crew in our USA office.
