One of the Nation’s cutting edge web development teams, specializing in eCommerce, is looking for a Web Designer/Developer that can specialize in Python. Company is an extremely successful, fast-paced start-up backed by a Fortune 500 organization. This is a niche position with high visibility where your ideas are heard and count. Your creativity and contributions will have an immediate impact.
Web Designer Overview: Use effective web design to help optimize customer acquisition and retention results. Integrate efforts to proactively identify, develop and drive long-term eCommerce content and publishing strategies. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.
Position location: Chicago land area
Responsibilities:
· Design/build pages elements for eCommerce site
· Design/create wide variety of online marketing promotional materials
· Design/create online corporate identity materials
· Research and gather best in class knowledge about e-publishing and how to best merchandise product information
· Partner with Product Management and Marketing to develop detailed e-publishing plans
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree
· Minimum 3 - 5 years directly related web design experience
· Results driven and time sensitive
· Deep knowledge and working experience with web design
· Deep knowledge and working experience with HTML and CSS
· Working experience with JavaScript and AJAX
· Strong knowledge of UI and user experience
· Work closely with international web development team and vendors
· Experience in SEO
· Experience in A/B testing
Preferred:
· Knowledge of Python and other scripting languages
· Experience with Magento
· Experience with version control systems
· HTML5/CSS3/jQuery
