Our client is looking for an experienced web designer to join their E-commerce team.  If you have a proven track record of working with CSS and HTML and are experienced in web design then this exciting role is for you.

 

Our client is a National company and looking for a web designer to come on board and develop their already successful portfolio of e-commerce websites.  Within this role you will need plenty of experience within web design plus the ability to work with, and assist in the development of the company’s own CMS to produce highly effective web sites that sell. You must be able to work to and stick to strict deadlines.

 

Responsibilities of the job:

Day to day maintenance and website design

Development of graphics and banners to use within the website and development of the campaign pages.

Use of CMS to maintain web design across specialist brands

Work with in house Developers to develop and improve design functionality and integration within the CMS

Work in conjunction with Product Management team to test onsite usability and other creative elements

Development and implementation of usability and creative standards resulting from testing

Development of online advertising creative (banners, skyscrapers, MPU's)

Design and development of e-newsletter templates

Development and design of new online brands in line with group launch plans

Assistance in the planning of new website structures

Development of website content outside of CMS using HTML

 

Experience required:

Experience of working in web design within a fast paced environment

Excellent experience creating CSS / HTML based templates to create pixel perfect cross browser style sheets

An understanding of well formed (X)HTML

CSS3 and HTML5

Basic knowledge of JavaScript and JQuery

Prior experience of working with and able to display an understanding of CMS systems

Able to evidence creativity leading to increased online activity or conversions

Experience of working on e-newsletters that sell

Package: £20K – 25K Depending on experience
