Many developers can make a Website, but do not have the esthetic sensibilities to make it attractive. Many graphic designers can lay out beautiful pages but cannot make them work. The idea candidate will work with marketing team to design and develop professional company Website while meeting the needs of the industry by performing the following duties and optimize the marketing medium.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design Web pages, including layout, user interface graphics, navigation, and graphics.
- Design and implement templates, databases, and interfaces for ease of use.
- Develop coding to integrate text, graphics, sound and or video
- Maintain and enhance existing Website applications, all internal systems are integrated, and webblogs.
- Design and implement user-driven templates, databases and interfaces for ease of use.
- Upload articles, audio files, images, marketing copy, photographs and videos.
- Conduct all user acceptances testing, and report results.
- Test page navigation links, monitor site traffic, moderate blog comments and respond to email requests.
- Interpret Website visitor feedback and meet with management team to discuss problem areas.
- Ensure content of the Website and blogs are legal, non-offensive, informative, and provides good marketing value.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual are detail-oriented and work well with a variety of people and have good editing skills and must know how to present information on line for targeted groups of visitors. The Website Developer/Designer must be a team player and willing to teach and to learn.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in computer science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience, with concentration in graphic design or a computer related field.
- Must possess skills in SQL
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable HTML and CSS.
- A good understanding of common design principles.
- Advanced experience in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
- Experience developing websites built on content management systems (CMS) [WordPress, DotNetNuke, etc]
- Experience writing themes/templates for CMS
- Visual Studio.
- ASP.Net 2.0, 3.5, and 4.0.
- C# or VB.Net
- Javascript and Javascript libraries such as JQuery
- Ajax
- Search Engine Optimization.
- Consistently use source code control (SourceSafe or TFS)
- Formal training with Website administration software programs such as Adobe, ASP.Net, WordPress, JavaScript, CSS (cascading style sheets) and PHP are beneficial.
- Previous experience with ticketing, merchandise, Point of Sale systems a plus.
- Additional courses in copy editing, graphic design, marketing, software quality assurance and technical writing.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Respond proactively to company needs.
