Web Developer - RoR, Ruby/Perl/Bash scripting, JavaScript (jQuery), MySQL

Basedin Springfield, VA - we are a growing publishing industry company with a casual atmosphere seeking a likeminded Web Developer with 2+ years of Ruby on Rails experience to join our tightly knit web team. We are known for our award-winning publications and websites, positive atmosphere and staff retention.

This Ruby on Rails Web Development position will provide support in all phases of development for all our websites and mobile products, which includes planning, implementation, conversion and maintenance of both current and future projects.

If you are a Ruby on Rails Developer with the ability to rapidly develop web applications and the ability to deliver projects on time with high-quality results we want to meet you!

Required Skills/Experience:
•2+ years of professional experience developing websites using Ruby on Rails
•JavaScript (any)
•Relational databases experience and MySQL
•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Pluses:
*jQuery
*Scripting (Ruby/Perl/Bash) and Configuring Apache
Passenger, any mobile JS frameworks like Sencha, Capistrano, GIT, Subversion, Linux server administration, Web Services, J2EE, Tomcat, Mod-jk, PostgreSQL
